The Sopranos: The Game
Hot on the heels of 24: The Game, ER: The Game
, and the announcement of Desperate Housewives: The Game, comes The Sopranos. The Game.
This Sopranos features the likenesses and voices of stars James Gandolfini (Tony), Michael Imperioli (Christopher), Steven Van Zandt (Silvio) and Tony Sirico (Paulie).
So far so good. It would suck without the main cast. No mention of what sort of playability there'll be, though. Will there be pole-dancers? Probably.
"The key thing was (series creator) David Chase's interest in ... the ability to participate in an evolving art form," says Carmi Zlotnik, executive vice president of new media programming at HBO.
Quite right. Art.
The Sopranos (the game) will fill a gap between series, much like 24: The Game was designed to do. You'll play as a henchman, but unlike Scarface (the game) and The Godfather (the game), The Sopranos (the game) will be "contemporary".
It's a busy market out there these days. Not unexpectedly.

Tony looks way too thin in that screen shot. Any word on a PC release?

Yeah, he's a good ten stone heavier IRL.
No news on a PC release to my knowledge yet.

Hmmm the visuals don't look very impressive at all

This is going to suck more than one of Tony's goomahs, unless they do something other than a GTA/Mafia/Godfather-wannabee
