More funny guild names. And stuff.

Some of them are plain offensive, but some bring a smile - I particularly liked My Little Pwnies, Gnomeland Security and, earning points for being so pun-hardcore, Horde'oevres.

There's a lot of noise about WoW again round and about. It's making people play fewer retail games. It's about to go tits up. The damn players are ruining it. No-one can compete. It's bad for you (maybe). It's hard to give up (but why would you want to?). Me, I think it's a work of art; I spent many a happy (and peaceful) hour exploring Alliance territory last night, and I can't see anything wrong with playing a sociable game during 'entertainment time'. But then again, half the time I'm playing on my laptop while in a beanbag, with one eye on the TV which is usually playing a drama DVD. I like to think of it as evolved, darlinks.

Then there's all the motivational posters. Thumbs up to Jen for finding those kittens (urgh. Heartstopping), and everyone's at it now.

Meanwhile, there's a call for 'digital folk art', from The San Jose Museum of Art. The site announcing this is a schlockfest of bad jpegs for text, and a terrible picture, so this doesn't bode too well, but I must learn to withold such hasty judgement. JPGs for text though, honestly. I'll hand-type out what they say: "Ludica is seeking submissions for an exciting virtual exhibition showcasing artistic player-created content in Second Life".

Accepted proposals will be given a specific amount of time to create/install the works on the island 'Brilliant', provided courtesy of Linden Lab, in Second Life. The New West Island featuring submitted works will be on display at the San Jose Museum of Art from July 7-13th, 2006.

...

I am unsure as to why this post became the length it did.
